April adjusting a client's form on the Reformer box

Hi, I’m April

Taking care of yourself is essential

I’m a mum of two beautiful girls and grew up here on the Central Coast. After spending some time away, I moved back six years ago because I truly believe it’s one of the best places to raise a family, and to build a life that feels calm, connected and balanced.

At my core, I believe that taking care of yourself isn’t optional, it’s essential. But I also know how hard it can be to prioritise yourself, especially when life is full and you’re constantly giving to others. That understanding is a big part of why PWA exists today.

My training lets me blend a clinical, evidence-based approach with the flow and energy of contemporary Pilates, so every class feels purposeful, safe and effective.

My story

Built on community

one class, one connection at a time

My journey into Pilates really began after having my second daughter. I was looking for a way to rebuild my strength, reconnect with my body and return to exercise safely, and Pilates gave me all of that and more. It wasn’t just about movement, it was about confidence, strength and feeling like me again. What started as a personal journey quickly became something I couldn’t ignore: I knew I wanted to help other women feel the same way.

2021

The first connections

It started with two reformers and a big dream. Private and duo sessions, one client at a time, back when people still asked, “It’s just stretching, right?”

2022

A community takes shape

Word spread and the classes filled. We opened our first group studio in Terrigal with 8 reformers and quickly grew to 10, building a small but incredibly special community along the way.

Today

A thriving community

PWA now calls Green Point home: a stunning, light-filled group studio with ten reformers, expert instructors and members who show up for each other. And we’re not done yet.

Why I started PWA

More than a workout

I wanted a space where people could feel comfortable walking in, whether it’s their very first class or their hundredth. A space that isn’t intimidating, where you’re guided, supported and genuinely cared for.

Because Pilates, when it’s done well, isn’t just about how you look, it’s about how you feel.

Stronger. More confident. More connected.

My mission is simple: to help people fall in love with movement and remind them that taking care of themselves isn’t a luxury, it’s essential.

A personal note

My favourite class to teach is our Signature PWA class. Watching members try new things, build confidence and trust the process is the best part of what I do.
